OPPO Find X5 Pro Screen Replacement (Without Frame)

If your OPPO Find X5 Pro screen only is blacked out and heavily cracked, you don’t necessarily need to replace the whole frame. A screen-only replacement (reusing the original middle frame) can save you money while restoring your phone to like-new condition.

Here’s how the process went step by step 👇

Double-sided adhesive tape

Step 1: Removing the Back Cover

The back cover on my phone was already taken off, so it was much easier.

Normally, heat the edges with Polar Tech Magic Self-Heating Pad and gently pry open.

👉 If yours is still on, heat it up first, then use a pry tool and a little alcohol to loosen the glue.

Step 2: Disconnecting Components

Remove the motherboard bracket (10 screws).
Carefully lift the flash FPC — don’t pull it directly, flip it gently.
Disconnect the battery BTB connector.
Remove the loudspeaker (8 screws).
Test the new screen
Disconnect the remaining BTBs and removed the SIM tray
Take out the small board and its red waterproof rubber ring.

I remove the camera for dust protection(it's option).

Step 3: Removing the Broken Screen

Heat the screen for around 10 minutes using the self-heating pad.
Pry around the edges to lift off the broken screen.
👉 Since our old screen was badly shattered, there was no need to be too careful.

Step 4: Clean the Frame & Apply Adhesive

Carefully remove all leftover glue from the middle frame.
Apply double-sided adhesive tape to the original spots.
⚠️ Important: Do not block the light sensor hole.
Apply a thin line of B7000 glue around the edges.

Step 5: Install the New Screen

Place the new screen onto the cleaned frame.
Reconnect the display BTB.
Reinstall the small board, coaxial cables, and shields.
Reconnect the battery BTB and flash FPC.

Step 6: Test and Finish

Power on the phone to check touch and display functionality.
If everything works fine, screw everything back in place (18 screws total).

Replace the back cover (we used a new one since the old was cracked).
Use a clamp to hold it in place for about 2 hours for better sealing.

Final Result

The OPPO Find X5 Pro screen is now fully functional and looks as good as new! By choosing a screen-only replacement, you save on repair costs without compromising quality.
