ZTE A71 5G Charging Port Replacement | Step-by-Step Repair Guide
Is your ZTE A71 5G not charging properly? Don’t worry — this step-by-step guide will show you how to safely replace the charging port and bring your phone back to life.
🔧 What You’ll Need
Polar Tech Phone Repair Toolkit (Isopropyl alcohol ,Metal shim, Plastic pry card, Tweezers, Spudger, Precision screwdriver set)
🛠 Step-by-Step Guide
1. Power Off & Remove the SIM Tray
Always start by turning off the phone. Use a SIM ejector tool to remove the SIM tray.
2. Open the Back Cover
Insert a plastic opening tool near the SIM tray slot and carefully slide it along the edge.
⚠️ Be gentle to avoid damaging the plastic frame.
Note: The fingerprint cable is located near the top, so be extra careful.
3. Remove Screws & Disconnect Cables
Take out the 19 screws on the mainboard shield (one under yellow tape).
Disconnect the battery connector first, then disconnect the fingerprint cable before removing the housing completely..
4.Replace the Charging Sub-Board
Remove the 7 screws on the lower part.
Take out the old charging sub-board and clean away any dust.
Install the new charging sub-board and reconnect the cables securely.
5. Reassemble & Test
Reattach the battery connector, fingerprint cable, and all screws (11 total).
Snap the back cover back on and insert the SIM tray.
Connect a charger — if the charging icon appears, your repair is successful!✅
