How to Replace the OPPO Find X5 Pro Battery – Step-by-Step Guide
If your OPPO Find X5 Pro is showing signs of a weak battery, don’t worry – replacing it is easier than you might think. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the full process of changing the battery, with tips to make the repair safe and efficient.
About the Replacement Battery
The OPPO Find X5 Pro uses a dual-cell battery design with a total capacity of around 5000mAh.
Our replacement battery is built to the same standard – offering stable performance, long lifespan, and safe charging. It’s ideal if your phone:
-
Drains too quickly
-
Shuts down unexpectedly
Upgrading to a new battery brings your phone back to peak performance.
Tools & Materials You’ll Need
-
Polar Tech Magic Self-Heating Pad
- Polar Tech Phone Repair Toolkit (Isopropyl alcohol ,Metal shim, Plastic pry card, Tweezers, Spudger, Precision screwdriver set)
- Battery adhesive strips
Step 1: Remove the Back Cover
Start by heating the back cover using the Polar Tech Magic Self-Heating Pad. Since the back cover was removed before, it should come off fairly easily.
👉 If you feel resistance, apply a small amount of alcohol along the edges – this helps dissolve the adhesive.
Step 2: Disconnect and Remove the Old Battery
Once the cover is off, remove the 10 screws securing the motherboard shield.
Be careful with the flashlight FPC cable – gently flip it aside to avoid tearing.
Next, disconnect the battery connector (BTB).
Pull up the two adhesive pull-tabs to release the battery.
They’re not too sticky, so with steady force the battery will lift out.
⚠️ Tip: If you don’t first peel off the black strip under the battery, you might need to use much more force.
Step 3: Installation & Seal
Your replacement battery may have a protective film – removing it is optional.
Apply new battery adhesive strips to the frame, then carefully place the new battery inside.
Reconnect the battery BTB. For a smoother fit, pre-bend the BTB slightly before pressing it down.
Don’t forget to reconnect the flashlight FPC!
Before sealing everything, power on the phone to confirm it boots normally.
Reinstall the 18 screws to secure the internal components.
Since we’re replacing the back cover with a new one, position it in place and use a clamp to hold it tightly for about 2 hours – this ensures a better seal against dust and moisture.
Final Thoughts
That’s it! You’ve successfully replaced the OPPO Find X5 Pro battery. With a fresh battery, your phone should perform like new again.
